It’s been about six and a 1/2 months since I stepped into my role with Visit Albany. Six months of learning, stretching, building, and settling into something that feels… aligned.
Not perfect.
Not easy every day.
But aligned.
And that matters more than I can explain.
I’ve been sharing the journey in real time on other platforms… but I hadn’t taken the time to bring it back here and reflect on it.
I wanted to check in with you. Give you this quick update and let you know I’m doing ok.
I recently had the opportunity to be a guest on a podcast where I talked about the work, the vision, and what we’re building in Albany.
And as I listened back… I realized something quietly:
I’m growing.
I’m building.
I’m becoming more of who I’m supposed to be in this season.
Not just because I landed a position…
but because I’m showing up as myself in it.
And that has made all the difference.
If you’re in a season where you’ve had to start over…
or shift…
or rebuild…
Let me remind you of something I’m learning in real time:
It is okay to begin again. And again. And again.
And it feels a whole lot better when you do it as your authentic self.
There is a different kind of peace that comes with that.
A different kind of confidence.
And yes… a quiet kind of pride too.
You’ve earned the right to feel that.
And although the blog is primarily about Visit Albany… for me, it’s so much more.
I’m sharing it with you as a glimpse into this season of growth.
🎧 And if you have a few minutes, I’d love for you to listen to the conversation:
